7a3:30p/ Full Time/ 40 Hours
The facilities management team consists of several specialized groups to meet the needs of Emory Healthcare Facilities. We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Specialist IIIto support and oversee equipment patient care and sustainability. This Individual will:
- Licensed skilled trained and certified in one of the competency areas of plumbing electrical HVAC steam control and related building systems and equipment.
- Practicing under the guidance of a licensed professional. Provides guidance to maintenance mechanics and assigns and schedules work.
- Interprets departmental and organizational policies and procedures for staff to ensure consistent practices.
- Picksup and distributes work assignments and gives direction to ensure work orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Schedules monitors and directs workflow.
- Observes and reviews work produced by staff to maintain efficiency and timely services.
- Reads and interprets blueprints drawings schematics and written technical documents of general machineries to locate area of trouble and complete repairs accurately.
- Performs preventive maintenance on related equipment buildings and building systems to ensure safe and proper operations.
- Shuts down equipment prior to scheduled repairs if necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of ten years of experience in building maintenance with supportive licensure or degree in building maintenance OR 20 years of experience in one or more of the competency areas.
- Positions in this classification may require a valid Georgia drivers license and an insurable driving record.
- Some positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend stoop and twist.
