Position: Residential Aide
Program: Eddy Center
Location: Middletown
Salary: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Full time 40 hours 3rd shift Friday Monday 10p 8am)
Program Summary:
The Eddy Center is a residential housing program that provides individualized treatment services substance use and mental health education and job preparation to adult males who are under DOCs supervision so they can successfully reenter their communities and avoid reoffending.
Position Summary:
The Residential Aide is responsible for direct client care. This includes activities of daily living and providing support for safety health and wellness. This position also assists program staff. The ideal candidate will establish develop and maintain respectful relationships with the people served. The Residential Aide will participate in maintaining a safe harmfree environment for all residents.
Working within Adult Services the Residential Aide works with Community Justice program staff to help to rehabilitate educate and successfully guide clients from incarceration back into the community.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED
- 2 years relevant experience as a Residential Aide or equivalent
- Valid Connecticut Drivers License
Orientation:
If selected for employment with The Connection newly hired employees will be required to attend a two 2 day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
