You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Orenda Center of Wellness is actively looking for a MA or CNA to assist our medical department at our residential substance abuse treatment facility exclusively for women located in the serene countryside of Sabillasville Maryland. We are a fun energetic company doing our part in the battle against addiction and mental health stigma by offering the highest standard of individualized treatment in a loving and therapeutic environment. In addition to substance abuse treatment we also offer cooccurring mental health services by licensed clinical therapist. We are working towards improving access to healthcare services while beginning to serve the evergrowing population of males suffering from the afflictions of substance use disorders. As a result we a looking for an organized patient and caring Nursing Assistant (CNA) with the passion to serve the underserved to join our multidisciplinary medical team. This role will assist the nursing department with all daily tasks and administrative duties. The ability to handle / assess minor medical issues and oversee client medications will be required.
The CNA position entails:
Work directly with onsite nurse and report to Nursing Director (NP)
Full time 40hour work week with scheduling flexibility available
Assistingwith all nursing / medical assessments on intakes
Administering and/or overseeing medications as prescribed
Ensuring that the med log is up to date and medication security is followed
Assisting nursing with counting of controlled substances and reporting of needs / errors
Assessing clients who are ill either from withdraw or unrelated illness
Monitoring vital signs and reporting to nursing any medical emergencies or crisis
Documentation in EMR
conducting and completing all required nursing department paperwork and requirements of care daily
Requirements:
CNA / GNA active and clean licensed in the State of Maryland
Compassionate and caring attitude towards all patients and support staff
Preferred experience working with Behavioral Health Mental Health or Substance Use Disorder Treatment
Preferred experience working with medications and controlled substances including maintenancemedication
