About Us
Heidelberg Materials is one of the worlds largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9000 employees.
What Youll Be Doing
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials load/unload following safety guidelines and inspect the truck before/after trips.
- Follow all traffic laws company policies and DOT regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries mileage and fuel consumption.
- Communicate with dispatchers and site managers for delivery instructions.
- Perform routine maintenance and report mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
What Are We Looking For
- Valid CDL (Commercial Drivers License) Class A with manual transmissions.
- Proven experience as a dump truck driver or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
- Ability to operate and maneuver heavy vehicles safely.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to postoffer preemployment physical examination drug/alcohol screen and background check.
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Work Environment
- Perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions drive for extended periods with occasional physical labor and interact with construction crews dispatchers and supervisors.
