Job Description
Responsibilities:
Design and oversee the installation of fire protection systems including sprinkler systems fire alarms and smoke detectors
Conduct site surveys and assessments to identify potential fire hazards and recommend solutions
Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for fire protection systems
Collaborate with architects builders and other engineers to ensure fire protection systems meet building codes and regulations
Perform regular inspections and maintenance on fire protection equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with standards
Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during the construction phase
Stay current with new developments in fire protection technology and regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registration is preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on fire protection systems
Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations related to fire protection systems
Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit and other engineering software
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
