Job Description

Job Summary:

The Family Therapist provides counseling to families of patients of the Biobehavioral Health Inpatient Unit (BBHU) across the continuum of their admission. The Family Therapists interventions involve a disciplined application of professional knowledge related to family functioning coping and adaptation for a broad range of diagnoses and treatments. This position provides Family Therapy at a specialized level of practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS (or eligible) licensed Marriage & Family Therapist required by time of appointment. Masters degree in Marriage & Family Therapy or related field and three years of postlicensure experience providing therapy required. CPRBLS required by time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with children/adolescents with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or autism preferred.
