Company Overview
Teledyne Qioptiq Electronic Solutions (QES) is an advanced electronics business that provides custom energetics including electronic safe & arm devices highvoltage semiconductor switches and rubidium frequency standards for defense and space applications weapons sights and surveillance products.
Our facility in Miamisburg Ohio currently has an opening for a Senior Accountant. In this role a key member of Accounting reporting to Controller. You must be a dedicated team player committed to working in a high growth organization and partnering local finance teams in addressing corporate accounting matters for North America and UK manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities:
- All aspects of consolidation and financial reporting for Qioptiq business (sales backlog)
- Prepare materials for monthly management presentation
- Revenue recognition determination
- Sales tax reporting to corporation
- Research and implement new accounting standards
- Goodwill impairment testing
- Assist in GAAP audits and preparing audit supporting schedules (PBC)
- Identify trends anomalies inefficiencies and gaps in accounting processes and provide actionable recommendations to address areas streamline processes enhance accuracy and improve productivity
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing accounting experience specifically Fixed Assest or Lease Accounting ASC842
- Bachelors degree in accounting is required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly desired
- Proven ability in working with advanced Excel is required. SAP and Onestream experience is a plus.
- Is selfmotivated and can work with limited supervision
- Exhibit an assertive personality with a strong bias for action with a resultsorientation; tackles tough problems with firm deadlines
