Summary:

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Medical Associate to join our worldclass research team based in Austin. At Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety health and wellbeing of study subjects while contributing to groundbreaking clinical trials. Collaborate with a proven team of medical professionals and successfully implement your skills in a dynamic and encouraging environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary safety contact for all study subjects during clinical trials.
  • Provide flawless basic medical care within your scope of practice addressing both emergent and nonemergent situations.
  • Monitor and record Adverse Events (AEs) reviewing them meticulously to determine if it is safe for subjects to proceed with study procedures or dosing.
  • Perform technical procedures including blood collection vital signs and ECGs.
  • Assess and address outofrange values intervening medically as necessary to ensure subject safety.
  • Coordinate basic dosing procedures such as oral inhalation and nasal

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent experience with relevant formal academic or vocational qualifications.
    • Certification or licensure as an EMT/LVN and American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
    • Proven knowledge and skills in basic life support and emergency medical care.
    • Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and potential emergency situations effectively.
