UnityPoint Clinic

The clinical teams at the areas clinics are improving outcomes lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions. General
- Established team of 2 physicians and 1 Advanced Practitioners
- Established practice serving the Dubuque community
- Experienced staff both clinical and nonclinical who know the patients and the community
- Fulltime position including dedicated administrative time with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
- 24/7 hospitalist program is responsible for adult and pediatric inpatients
- Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
Responsibilities
- Average of 1820 patients per day
- Shared call amongst the providers. Currently 1:3 night call taken daytoday; Physician sees own patients for call during business hours
- Practice is a mix of inpatient and outpatient; 24 interventions per day when in clinic
- Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
- Two nearby outreach locations are visited by Physician once per month
- Evaluates interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
- Patientfocused friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) analytical and problemsolving skills
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1B cap exempt)
- J1 waiver sponsorship available
