Job Description

Overview

Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Charge Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team.

As the Charge Nurse in the CVL you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the unit ensuring the delivery of highquality patient care. You will lead a team of dedicated nurses and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive cardiovascular services.

The Charge nurse will work with the Department Manager as a part of the management/leadership team to provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes which includesassisting with catheterizations and monitor/examine patients prior to procedures as well as during and after administer medications and assist the medical team in whatever they may need during the procedure.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
  • BLS REQUIRED at time of hire
  • Minimum One year of nursing experience required
  • Specialty Certifications in area of practice preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Cath Lab nursing staff.
  • Ensure adherence to established protocols and standards of care.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and provide timely updates to physicians.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Facilitate effective communication among the healthcare team.
  • Participate in staff training and development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Manage inventory and ensure the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
