Lawrence County Community Action Partnership (LCCAP) seeks to fill the position of Controller a key role within the Fiscal Department overseeing the financial operations of three nonprofit organizations. With more than $31 million in funding from federal state and local grants as well as various corporate assets the Controller will play a vital role in managing payroll taxes and benefits for over 270 employees. The Controllers responsibilities include ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations analyzing financial data and presenting reports to the CEO and Board of Directors preparing operating budgets and coordinating audits. Additionally the role involves overseeing accounts ledgers and reporting systems managing accounts payable and receivable transactions and developing and enforcing internal controls. The ideal candidate should hold a bachelors degree in accounting or finance CPA certification and possess at least 10 years of experience in nonprofit accounting. Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills leadership capabilities and proficiency in Excel and accounting software are essential.
