Job Description
CENTRALIZED TRANSPORTATION DISPATCH LOGISTICS CORPORATE OFFICE (AUSTIN OR WILLMAR MN)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as dispatch operations liaison between Hormel enterprise and motor carrier partners.
- Coordinate freight transportation based upon ship location.
- Analyze order quantity destination weight delivery date and product type to determine consolidation and efficiency via transportation management systems.
- Source carriers based upon cost service reliability equipment availability and past performance history.
- Create solutions to challenges that effect on time delivery to customers and distribution networks.
- Able to work overtime when requiredand potential weekend rotation.
- Miscellaneous projects as assigned by CT management to fulfill needs of department.
- Scheduling of inbound and outbound freight with shippers and receivers when needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- Demonstrated dependability due to transactional customer service requirements for this position.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills: ability to communicate with clarity and diplomacy with time sensitive/challenging issues.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Proven ability to initiate appropriate action independently.
- Proven ability to multitask with a high degree of accuracy.
Preferred
- Blue Yonder Transportation Management System (TMS) or alternate TMS experience and or motor carrier dispatch experience.
- Proficiency in order processing systems.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to learn and use custom computer programs.
- Experience with mainframe/WMS systems.

At Hormel Foods base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $19.75$27.75 per hour and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including but not limited to jobrelated knowledge skill set level of experience and geographic market location.
