What youll do: The DSP Supervisor shall monitor the delivery of Active Treatment services and supports to the individuals we support by the Direct Support Professionals. The DSP Supervisor will serve as the primary parttime weekend supervisor of DSP staff in all three buildings at CLL. Essential Functions: - Serve as primary parttime weekend supervisor of DSP staff in all three buildings at CLL.
- Addresses day to day issues with DSP staff to ensure staff needs are met and issues are addressed in a timely and efficient/confidential manner.
- Updates the Director of DSPs on issues on the weekend.
- Keeps the DSP Supervisory team updated on employee concerns and success.
- Effectively provide praise encouragement and correction to DSP staff on a during working hours.
- Responsible for regular walking rounds throughout the facility on assigned shift.
- Completes written evaluations of assigned DSP staff within 60 days following employment and annually thereafter.
- Coordinates and administers Corrective Actions to DSP Staff.
- Effectively communicate information and data related to the DSP team to the appropriate persons/departments.
- Attend professional and supervisory staff meetings as they include/effect DSP staff responsibilities.
- Attend scheduled inservice training.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with all departments effectively and efficiently within the facility to ensure the needs of the individuals we support and the DSP staff needs are met.
- Perform DSP staff duties to assist on suites or serve as a substitute as needed.
- Contacts staff and adjusts schedule as needed documenting callins tardies pickup shifts on the daily schedule planner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What sets you apart: - Associate degree in human services or possesses the qualifications of a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse from an accredited school of nursing and be licensed by the state of Kentucky preferred
- Oneyear health care experience/supervisory experience preferred
What your typical schedule looks like: - Parttime 24 hours per week. Includes nights and weekends as scheduled.
- 7:00am7:00pm and/or 7:00pm7:00am Saturday and Sunday.
- Nonexempt hourly parttime.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position directly supervises the following staff positions: Direct Support Professionals The supervisory responsibilities include directing employees day to day tasks/responsibilities as well as evaluating DSP work performance. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is active and requires the ability to stand walk bend and lift for the majority of the day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects and individuals weighing over 50 pounds. Additional information on the physical demands. Frequently handle/maneuver objects stand walk reach outward and bend Frequently sit climb squat or kneel reach over shoulder. Knowledge of correct lifting positioning and transferring techniques as well as frequently being able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds occasionally up to 100 pounds with or without assistance of others or assisting devices. Should have a good sense of hearing smell and touch.
