Job Description
If you are an Engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow and be a part of developing awardwinning controls systems software and automation products for our customers Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you with our Power and Water Solutions team located in our headquarters in Cranberry Township PA.
You will be a part of the Thermal Power Engineering group which provides fully engineered control system solutions for power plants in North America. The group focuses on the replacement of existing power plants with Emersons best in class Ovation Distributed Control System (DCS). The Thermal Power Departmentprovides all project management engineering design factory acceptancetest and commissioning services to deliver comprehensive solutions to our customers.
In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Own the application design and engineering for thermal power projects
- Ensure customer satisfaction throughout cycle and deliver outstanding results on all projects
- Be part of a collaborative and innovative team passionate about solving complex problems
- Participate in Subject Matter Experts teams
- Develop and track project engineering plans and issue monthly project reports
- Suggest and develop improvements for products and processes
- Collaborate and provide technical leadership to A/E firms and customers to help identify key solutions to customer concerns

For This Role You Will Need:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 5 years of related experience in an engineering environment
- Experience with designing controls for a PLC or DCS application
- Experience in the power industry
- Ability to travel up to 25 in North America
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Chemical Mechanical or Computer Engineering
