Facilities Maintenance HVAC Technician Pembroke Pines

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Facilities Maintenance HVAC Technician to join our team of professionals. This position offers great opportunity for dynamic motivated selfstarters to work on a variety of work assignments. Youll be a member of our highly respected team of professionals with a full complement of resources to support you and exciting projects to keep you challenged.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- This is technical work in the installation maintenance and repair of commercial airconditioning equipment.
- Performs work on heating or refrigeration and cooling units & appliances which includes motors switches pumps wiring thermostats and fans.
- Responsible for installing inspecting maintaining and repairing airconditioning and ventilating equipment and controls to make sure that they operate efficiently and continuously.
- Responsible for regular maintenance work on cooling units and the diagnosing of electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions. Installs replaces or repairs equipment that has been damaged due to abuse or regular use such as low and high pressure refrigerant lines.
- Makes adjustment and calibrations of thermostatic controls. Installs new airconditioning systems and equipment; inspects and maintain refrigerators and ice machines and chilled water supply systems.
- Cleans blowers and coils and checks tensions of belts and motors.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested directed or assigned.
SKILLS:
- Knowledge of principles of airconditioning unit repair and maintenance including controls MSDS sheets safety practices and procedures and tools used.
- Knowledge of plumbing electrical sheet metal and carpentry work.
- Ability to read and interpret building regulations and codes implemented by city state and federal government agencies pertaining to installing airconditioning units.
- Ability to make moderately complex mathematical computations accurately.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and sketches.
- Ability to express ideas effectively orally and in writing.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Graduation from high school or equivalent and specialized training from vocational or technical schools.
- License and certification is preferred/recommended.
- Three 3 to five 5 years of progressively more responsible work experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
