Key Responsibilities

• Technically guide junior staff and contribute to the preparation of detailed CAD drawings and construction documents for various projects ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with team members and subconsultants direct tasks and conduct quality checks and procedures to ensure project goals are met and deliverables are completed on time.
• Develop design concept drawings and ideas contributing to the creative process and project development.
• Be part of a positive work environment and support cohesive project teams.
• Calculate quantities and costing for projects providing essential data for project planning and budgeting.
• Provide professional assistance to our construction management team in Redding ensuring accurate inspections calculations and records.
• Coordinate and communicate with clients and agency personnel providing support to the project managers.
• Opportunities often exist to support construction management for local agencies providing inspections and contract administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related engineering field.
• Licensed California PE or the ability to obtain certification within 1 year is preferable.
• 3 years of industry experience.
• Experience in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; experience with MicroStation is a plus.
• Experience with AASHTO and Caltrans design standards is a plus.
• Experience with Active Transportation facility planning and design is a plus.
• Experience with commercial and residential project land development is a plus.
• Good time management skills and the ability to handle conflicting priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients and delegate tasks.
• Demonstrated leadership ability directing and delegating work assignments to others overseeing design tasks.
• Additional certifications or skills in relevant software and tools are a plus.
