Job Description
The Indiana University School of Optometry a leader in clinical education patient care and research is seeking a skilled clinician to join the Clinical Optics Research Lab CORL . Applicants are invited to apply for this research associate/scientist nontenure track position with a proposed start date of spring/summer of 2024. The Clinical Optics Research Lab is a highachieving $2.5 million in research funding in 2023 teamoriented group of roughly 20 researchers (faculty and students) who work with industry partners and other collaborators/ organizations around the world in both basic science and clinical studies designed to improve the visual quality of patients who are experiencing a variety of optical conditions such as the development of myopia presbyopia eye fatigue cataract and ocular surface disease. Much of the research work is collaborative patientbased and centers around optimization of optical devices and technologies such as contact lenses. Opportunities for didactic lab and/or patient care/clinical teaching may also be possible depending on needs and qualifications. Indiana University is a major research University founded in 1820. It currently enrolls over 38000 undergraduates and 10000 graduate and professional students on the Bloomington campus with over 114000 students in the University system. The School of Optometry has wellestablished professional degree and clinical programs as well as widely recognized research and graduate programs.
