POSITION TITLE: Root House Therapist
DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM: Counseling
REPORTS TO: Program Manager Clinical Director
SCHEDULE: (Determined on a case by case basis) exempt
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: To provide a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic services including individual and group therapy to residential clients with substance use disorders. Must complete all related documentation in a timely manner as defined by counseling department requirements.
1.Assess and diagnose residential clients that have a substance use disorder
2.Develop implement and update Individual Service Plans as defined in the State of Ohio and F&CS regulations.
3.Provide individual group and/or family counseling to residential clients.
4.Maintain client records in accordance with the State of Ohio regulations and F&CS policy/procedure.
5.At a minimum achieve and maintain the Agencys established productivity standards.
6.Make referrals to other services within the community and within the Agency as indicated.
7.Maintain current knowledge of all applicable F&CS policies/procedures and function according to these standards
8.Comply with COA regulations federal and state requirements and educational/certification/registry requirements.
9.Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Knowledge of work with an AOD population crisis intervention skills knowledge of substance use and ability to recognize substance use symptoms/behaviors and ability to create and maintain relationships with clients professionals and members of the community.
2.Knowledge of therapeutic interventions for AOD treatment.
3.Valid Ohio Drivers License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
4.Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal back ground check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation).
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate degree in counseling or Bachelors degree in related field. Appropriate licensure in the State of Ohio: CDCA LICDC LSW LPC LISW LPCC or psychologist with scope of practice in AOD treatment.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1.Prior work experience in AOD treatment preferred.
2.Knowledge of Electronic Client Records preferred especially within Qualifacts/Care Logic system.
3.Basic understanding of HIPAA clients rights and regulations treatment through ODAMHAS
4.Experience with clients living in a residential setting preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Some driving and assistance with client transportation may be required.
