Location: Village of River Oaks a luxury Independent Living Assisted Living with Memory Care senior community
Pay Rate: $17.00/hr.
FullTime Schedule: 8:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Vacuum rooms common areas halls and offices with carpeting.
- Sweep and mop tile and linoleum floors.
- Strip and wax floors according to schedule and buff floors to maintain a polished appearance.
- Clean dining room floors after meals and special events.
- Clean floors in common areas including the break room.
- Scrub the kitchen floor according to schedule.
- Sweep the front porch daily empty trash cans and ashtrays.
- Vacuum entrance floor mats and maintain a tidy entrance.
- Empty trash barrels in the dining room daily.
- Change nursing buckets each morning and as needed throughout the shift.
- Assist the maintenance supervisor with various tasks as requested.
- Report any unusual or unsafe conditions in resident units to the supervisor.
- Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 12 years of related experience in a commercial or hospital setting.
- Great customer service attitude.
- Ability to interact well with staff residents and guests.
- Knowledge of general janitorial and floor cleaning responsibilities.
- Ability to use janitorial equipment including floor scrubbing equipment and vacuum cleaners.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to work independently or with others in completing assigned tasks.
- Flexible with hours shifts and days available to work.
