Position Summary
Assists with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of all Automated Material Handling systems. Previous material handling system experience is not for this position.
Responsibilities
- Uses advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair mechanical problems.
- Diagnoses mechanical and basic electrical problems using technical drawings.
- Minimize downtime and unsafe conditions by performing preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment.
- Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues.
- Document maintenance activities and repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Assist in inventory management and spare parts tracking.
- Follow all OSHA and internal safety standards.
- Travels up to 75 for up to two weeks at a time
Qualifications
- 3 years experience working as an automotive technician HVAC system elevator repair electrician building maintenance or experience working with machinery or equivalent experience
- 12 years working in material handling industry preferred but not
- Experience with CMMS platform a plus
- Working knowledge of handheld and power tools and how to use them
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and basic electrical defects
- Ability to interpret both mechanical drawings
- Selfmotivated organized and detailoriented
- Knowledge of safe industrial work practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to work in and contribute to a team setting
- Intermediate computer skills including MS Office
- Ability to follow maintenance manuals and procedures to repair equipment
- Ability to assist in the installation maintenance and troubleshooting of all material handling equipment and components is a plus
