Speech and Language Pathologist Qualifications: Masters Degree in one of the following fields of concentration: speech and language/communication disordersMust have CCC certificationMassachusetts Department of Education Licensure in Speech/Language/Hearing DisorderMinimum of two years of experience in the fieldReports to:Building PrincipalAdministrator of Pupil Personnel ServicesJob goals:Assists the team chairperson in designing implementing and monitoring the educational plans for students with disabilitiesProvides direct service and instruction to those students with disabilities that have been assigned speech and language therapyPerformance Responsibilities:Attends IEP meetingsWrites IEP speech and language goals/objectives for students with disabilitiesDelivers direct services exactly as provided for in the IEPMonitors students progress toward reaching IEPS goalsWrites student progress reports within deadlines set by Team ChairpersonAdministers and interprets diagnostic testsWrite evaluation reportsCommunicates with parents and staff regarding student progress Attends department and principal meetingsAssumes responsibility for own professional growth and development for keeping current with the literature improved techniques and screening procedures and attending appropriate meetings and conventions.Performs appropriate duties as designated by the building principalEvaluation Procedures:Performance evaluation is conducted in accordance with the agreement between the Milton School Committee and Milton Teachers Association
