You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAssist Foreperson with daily tasks including safety toolbox meetings equipment inspection and road condition inspection reports
Support Foreperson in the planning of work to meet contractual milestones
Monitor the quality of work performed by the crew
Operate equipment on work sites as needed
Help ensure health safety and environment related concerns are addressed promptly
Qualifications:
Valid Class 1 or 3 drivers license with air endorsement and a clear 3year drivers abstract
Previous supervisory experience in highway maintenance road construction bridges or related field is required
Snow plow experience is preferred
Strong understanding of provincial and/or municipal highway maintenance specifications
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Computer skills are an asset
Successful completion of preemployment drug and alcohol and audiogram testing
Work Conditions:
Local candidates will be given preference due to the location of the work
Will be required to work shifts oncall and nights as necessary
Benefits provided by CLAC
Work will be outdoors in various weather conditions
Rates & Premiums:
Will be pro a base hourly rate from $26/hour to $32/hour based on experience
Operators will be eligible to receive premiums starting at $8/hour when performing winter maintenance operations
Operators will be eligible to receive a premium starting at $14/hour when performing winter operations as a Class 1 operator and while operating the tow plow unit
