Team Leader Transporter Central Transport

Central Transport:
Central Transport provides patient transportation within the hospital.Transporters move patients between the emergency department the inpatient floors and diagnostic areas such as radiology endoscopy and cardio diagnostics.Transporters often discharge patients after their stay is complete. Our transporters are often the first employees a patient interacts with upon admission and the last as they are leaving.Excellent customer service skills and ability to put patients at ease are a must.Transporters also assist with equipment moves and will respond to patient codes to assist in the care of critically ill patients.Transporters are dispatched using an electronic flowboard with a queuing system for pages. The department is staffed from 5:30 am 2:00 am 7 days a week.
Position Summary:
Responsible for daily operational functions of the transport program and staff which includes courtesy ambassadors dispatchers and transporters. Observes staff and address job performance and/or attendance problems in accordance to policy and procedures. Responsible for new employee orientation training CQI participation and assists the unit leader with special projects employee evaluations payroll and work scheduling.

Minimum Education:
None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a HS diploma or GED.
Minimum Experience:
One 1 year supervising task specific work groups or servicerelated employees
Licensure Requirement:
CPR required.
