Job Description

Join the 392d Combat Training Squadron 392 CTS) at Schriever Space Force Base as an Exercise Planner Craftsman where your expertise will be critical in planning coordinating and executing spacerelated capabilities for joint multiservice and allied exercises. Your work will directly enhance mission effectiveness by ensuring seamless integration of space and cyber operations into national defense training events.

Pay: $148000 $163000

Essential Duties

Exercise Planning &

  • Develop and execute USSF capabilities in CJCS CCMD USAF and other servicelevel exercises ensuring alignment with the USSF Service Exercise Plan (SEP).
  • Lead the planning conferences coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to design scenarios events and timelines for space and cyber activities.
  • Review historical lessons learned and assist training audiences in formulating training objectives for each exercise event.

Operational Support & Coordination

  • Participate in exercise as part of the Exercise Control Group (ECG) overseeing space event management and providing realtime oversight within the White Cell.
  • Familiarize with and integrate 392 CTS modeling and simulation (M&S) capabilities into exercise design and .
  • Coordinate personnel funding and logistical support with internal and external agencies including HQ USSF and CCMDs.

Reporting & AfterAction

  • Develop and submit afteraction reports capturing lessons learned (LL) and submitting them into the Joint Information Lessons Learned System (JILLS).
  • Attend quarterly and annual Exercise Coordination Team (ECT) meetings to present exercise planning status and future participation on the USSF SEP.
  • Prepare documentation such as trip reports exercise planning products and meeting minutes ensuring timely submission.

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in planning coordinating or executing space capabilities in military exercises.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel globally 4590 days/year).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting CCMD NATO or other DoD exercises.
  • Familiarity with exercise planning tools such as JTIMS JILS or JTT.
  • Prior experience with United States Space Command (USSC) space systems in exercises.

Education & Certification

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution or additional years of experience may substitute for degree requirement.

Required Clearance

  • Top Secret/SCI clearance

Travel

  • Estimated 4590 days of travel per year.
