Elementary Principal
For immediate openings
The DufferinPeel Catholic District School Board is one of the largest and most diverse school districts in Ontario with approximately 81000 students attending 151 schools 125 elementary and 26 secondary) located throughout Mississauga Brampton Caledon and Orangeville. In addition over 40000 students enroll in the boards Adult and Continuing Education Programs each year. Successful candidates will demonstrate a desire and ability to foster a Catholic Learning Community though leadership and collaboration. Principals will set direction by building a shared vision which is aligned with the Boards multiyear strategic plan; and secure accountability to parents students the community and the Board.
Candidates will possess the following:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Successful completion of Ontario School Principal Qualifications Course Part I and II
- Completion of Religious Education Specialist
- At least 5 years successful teaching experience with at least one year as a VicePrincipal preference will be given to candidates who have three 3 years experience as a VicePrincipal
- Experience in both school and Boardwide activities
- Experience in a variety of settings is preferred
LEADERSHIP PRACTISES SHOULD INCLUDE :
- Setting directions
- Building relationships and developing people
- Developing the organization to support desired practices
- Improving the instructional program
- Securing accountability

- Copies of all qualifications (Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualifications The Catholic Pastoral Reference Form for a Leadership Position must be completed by the applicants home parish priest within the last 12 months)
