Job Description Summary
Responsible for ensuring the safety of all patrons in the pool area and keeping facility clean.
Minimum Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES Skilled as a Lifeguard Ability to follow oral and written instructions Ability to effectively communicate with staff and patrons in spoken and written standard English Ability to work with minimal supervision Skilled in or potential for working effectively with a diverse multiethnic clientele EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Under 18 with work permit high school diploma or equivalent and 12 to 18 months related experience or required course work/certification. Required to possess a current American Red Cross Lifeguard certificate; current American Red Cross CPR / FPR Certificate. No substitutions. Lifeguarding certification is absolutely required.
