Description
Duties:
- Install maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local state and national electrical codes
- Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems
- Install and maintain wiring control systems and lighting fixtures
- Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers to identify hazards or defects
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring equipment and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters voltmeters and oscilloscopes
- Troubleshoot malfunctions in electrical systems and equipment using testing devices and hand tools
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
