JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for individuals who speak both Vietnamese and English fluently. As a facetoface interpreter (verbal Interpreter) you will use your language skills to assist others during medical community social service and other types of appointments. Interpreting with MasterWord is a great way to help your community. The interpreter relays oral information between speakers of two different languages in a consecutive and/or simultaneous (if requested) mode. The interpreter understands and abides by all published Standards of Practice and Codes of Ethics for Interpreters.

Job Responsibilities

• We are looking for individuals who speak both Vietnamese and English fluently.
• Immunization records are required for medical assignments.
• Be friendly and excited to earn money on your schedule!
• Render messages from one language to another accurately without omissions and additions and maintaining message content context and style as much as possible.
• Facilitate effective communication between parties that do not speak the same language by converting one spoken language to another.
• Exude extreme professionalism through appearance attitude punctuality and posture.
• Follow ethical codes that protect the confidentiality of information and maintain client confidentiality pursuant to protocols established by the contract HIPAA and industry standards.
• Act as cultural liaison when necessary.
• Must have a High School Diploma.
• Ability to explain and interpret idiomatic expressions and cultural nuances.
• Serve as a cultural and linguistic resource to contribute to successful outcomes.
• Perform duties in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
• Have access to communication tools for prompt responses with the coordinating team (including text email and voicemail).

SHIFT:

While we do operate 24/7 most of our assignment requests are during business hours. We need you to be available during business hours usually these are Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm.
