Pouch Room Operator Job Description

SUMMARY: Operate multiple pouch machines safely and efficiently while performing quality control audits of liquid drink pouches.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Starts up operates and shuts down pouch forming cooling sealing straw strip placement coding and conveying systems of the pouch machine. Makes packaging roll changes as needed. Optimizes equipment uptime; monitors mechanical operation of equipment and unjams machines. Helps troubleshoot mechanical problems and notifies technician of issues. Supervises quality issues performs and records checks on pouch visual points of quality. Conduct vacuum tests and check for seal alignment as prescribed. Ensure adequate quantities of accurate rotated foil stock (FIFO) are available and tested. Complete all required audits. Document pouches material losses downtime and production totals; palletize finished boxes of pouches. Maintains good housekeeping Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. Performs all other duties as assigned.
This position also has accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Winchester Kraft Heinz QRMP accountability document.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to the capabilities above a good candidate will possess strong organizational skills ability to multi task a basic understanding of mechanic parts and how they work.
WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this Job the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Personal Protective Equipment While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to wear appropriate companyissued safety and GMP equipment including: steel toe shoes that are also slip resistant hearing protection bump cap and other personal protective equipment.
