Job Description
Drive and Deliver
Driving a concrete agitator truck for Heidelberg Materials is more than just going from A to B and back again. Our Agitator drivers provide high levels of customer service to our clients receiving our products becoming the face of our business. As an Agi Driver you will be making multiple deliveries throughout the day and interacting with lots of different people. Every day will be different theres nothing routine about this role!
About the role:
Rates: $31.82ph plus penalties (rate X 1.5 after 8 hours rate X 2.0 after 10 hours).
Fulltime permanent position!
You will be based at our Rockhampton Concrete Plant reporting to the Plant Manager.
Most days will start between 2am and 7am and drivers can do up to and over 10 hours per day and around 5560 hours per week. Saturday work is generally available paid at overtime rates
Monthly travel may be required within the Central QLD region meals/accommodation is supplied.
As we mentioned driving an Agi is like being a Customer Service Agent on wheels. You will be dealing with lots of different personalities every day so you need to be comfortable interacting with people you havent met before
We provide cutting edge technology to not only keep you safe whilst driving but also to help you map your routes and keep track of your loads.
All new starts go through a 10day training program before we let you loose byyourself.
About you:
Minimum of HR license (essential) with previous driving experience (preferred)
You enjoy meeting people and having a chat with them when youre onsite
You prefer variety in your working life. No two days are ever the same when youre driving one of our Agi trucks
You take pride in the appearance of your truck. Keep it clean give it a wash and present the best image of our company. You are a mobile billboard and people notice a dirty truck
Able to pass a preemployment medical including a drug and alcohol test (random testing is also conducted on all Heidelberg Materials sites)
