Work Schedule:

Job Summary:
Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Bachelors Degree or related experience in the subject in which the person will tutor.
Must be responsible independent workers who maintain an ontime commitment.
Must possess sensitivity to the needs of disadvantaged/atrisk students.
Must possess sensitivity for students of all cultures and backgrounds.
Knowledge of or willingness to learn how to tutor students with disabilities.
Desired Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Previous teaching experience preferred especially with high school or college level students.
Familiarity with software used in mathematics classes preferred (StatCrunch Maple etc).
Essential Duties:
1. Facilitators are responsible for providing group tutorial assistance in math assistance with online homework and special math projects. Facilitators are also responsible for assisting students with
the use of math lab software.
2. Reinforce classroom instruction encourage academic progress and group collaboration and maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning. Maintain confidentiality regarding the students they serve.
3. Maintain student records timesheets and other paperwork.
4. Attend department meetings and training sessions. Participate in discussions regarding ways to better serve students.
5. Refer students to the Math Lab Director or Senior Director of Academic Support Services if appropriate.
