Job Description

Requirements:
  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics/ Purchasing (NQF level 6
  • 4 years experience in Public Sector Supply Chain Management

PROJECT PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
  • Assist as a SCM temp due to increased workload in the SCM unit
  • The SCM temp is expected to familiarise themselves with the oraganisations historical procurement patterns
  • The temp will administer goods and services from specification to awards provide SCM advice and assist with specialized SCM
  • Consultation with end users is necessary to ensure clear and concise specifications
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Project management skills
  • Good numerical and computer skills
  • Advanced skills in MS Office especially Excel
  • Strong English communication skills
Overall the role is for a highly experienced and academically qualified individual to assist with SCM tasks including understanding historical procurement patterns working under pressure and communicating effectively with end users. The individual must possess advanced skills in MS Office particularly Excel and be able to provide comprehensive SCM advice and support.
