Job Description

About the Role

A prestigious Independent school in Barnet is seeking a talented Music Teacher to join their performing arts department. Youll deliver engaging music lessons across all key stages.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Music Teacher lessons tailored to the curriculum.
  • Prepare students for instrumental or vocal performances and examinations.
  • Develop students musical skills including theory composition and performance.
  • Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the development of the music curriculum and resources.
  • Organise and lead musicrelated extracurricular activities.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Music.
  • Proven experience in teaching music at secondary level including ALevel.
  • Strong musical skills and knowledge of music theory and performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
