Job Description and Responsibilities
Operate the CNC Lathe safely to produce Premium Couplings within specifications. Perform regular equipment maintenance.
- Set up and operate conventional and computercontrolled machine tools
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g. micrometers calipers)
- Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts
- Maintain repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
- Set up and adjust production machinery/tools
- Read and interpret engineering drawings blueprints charts and tables
- Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
- Repair machine tools and parts
- Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
Requirements
- Grade 12 minimum
- Computer numerical control (CNC) machines operation experience is preferred but not required
- Read and interpret engineering drawings blueprints charts and tables
- Read and Understand API 5CT specifications
- Computer skills
- Able to do shift work
- Ability to work independently
