Job responsibilities:Directly supervises the senior security officer substitute security officers safety officer and secretary. Responsible for the management of safety & security which includes student safety security and fire protection and liaison with security and law enforcement agencies.
Essential functions:
- Plan coordinate and manage the administrative student safety and security activities of the department; serve as a liaison between center and immediate community in security and law enforcement matters.
- Evaluate staff performance provide staff training and implement department and personnel changes as approved the the community life director and coordinated with the manager human resources prior to implementation
- Develop departmental budget; monitor and control expenditures; review and recommend changes to budget authorizations.
- Oversee the development of the Occupations safety and Health Plan coordination of fire protections inspections of the facility and frequent fire drills. Act as a liaison of federal state and local safety and fire officials
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and 1 year related experience must have supervisory experience
- Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements
- Experience with youth excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency required.
- Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record unless waived by management.
