Are you passionate about shaping the future of smart metering technology Join the dynamic team as a System Architect (f/m/d) for Smart Metering. In this role you will be responsible for defining the specifications and product architecture of innovative smart meters and communication units.
Tasks
- Analyze customer requirements and define technical specifications.
- Collaborate with experts in embedded software electronics mechanical design testing and industrialization to define product architecture including HWSW interfaces.
- Work closely with Product Management and Sales teams to ensure successful product launches.
- Track requirements throughout the project lifecycle to ensure completeness.
- Support the approval process including documentation of product architecture.
- Serve as the technical authority for projectrelated questions and product management.
- Participate in standards committees and working groups.
- Scout and identify new technologies and designs for potential patents.
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronic Engineering or Software.
- Proven experience in developing meters or IoT devices with at least 7 years of industrial experience.
- Familiarity with IoT electricity metering smart grid solutions and relevant industry standards.
- Strong technical background in electricity metering technologies (e.g. AMI AMR smart meters).
- Excellent analytical skills to assess market requirements customer feedback and product performance metrics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective crossfunctional collaboration.
- Experience in managing requirements in complex product development projects.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as DLMSCOSEM PLC MBUS MODBUS IP and wireless protocols.
- Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus.
