The Corporate Accountant is responsible for managing the company s daytoday financial operations. This role involves maintaining financial controls tracking expenses preparing reports and ensuring accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is detailoriented highly organized and capable of managing multiple financial tasks while meeting deadlines. This is a temporary position to cover a maternity leave.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform daily financial transactions including inputting tracking and managing designated accounts.
Manage Accounts Receivable: Audit post AR cash receipts and reconcile subledger.
Manage Accounts Payable: Audit post AP transactions and reconcile subledger.
Apply appropriate accounting techniques to analyze reconcile and report financial data.
Import and reconcile biweekly payroll data ensuring payroll accounts remain uptodate.
Perform monthly and quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations promptly resolving discrepancies.
Reconcile intercompany accounts and maintain loan amortization schedules.
Allocate expenses by department and region.
Prepare monthly general ledger journal entries.
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash activities.
Support monthend closings including consolidated financial statement preparation and variance analysis.
Prepare quarterly and annual taxbasis financial statements.
Maintain fixed assets depreciation and amortization schedules.
Review Concur transactions and conduct expense audits.
Collaborate with the Senior Accountant Accounting Manager Controller and SVP of Corporate Accounting to prepare operating budgets and quarterly forecasts.
Attend work as scheduled to ensure ongoing company success.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Education: Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance Business or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial/accounting management with remote work experience preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in Real Estate Property Management or a multipleentity environment is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word Excel) and relevant accounting software.
Experience with Concur expense reporting and Oracle ERP systems is preferred.
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in digital communication tools such as email Zoom Teams OneNote and filesharing platforms.
Ability to manage multiple projects prioritize tasks efficiently and work independently.
