Job Description

Join our family! The Payroll Manager reports to the Assistant Director of Finance and partners closely with the Talent & Culture team. This role is ideal for someone who loves to collaborate and also work independently.  The Payroll Manager is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate payment of all wages to our team members in compliance with all local state and federal labor laws.  The Payroll Manager is a coach and mentor to the management team to assist them in employing best practices to manage all aspects of their own departmental payroll responsibilities.  The role will be responsible for running semimonthly payroll inputting all associated data reconciling payroll reports ensuring accurate and compliant time punch editing and reporting of any related discrepancies.

  • Ensures timely receipt of all data required to process payroll including department files with hours worked hourly rates salaries tips service charges incentive pay miscellaneous pay etc.

  • Validates that department payroll file submissions are complete and accurate.

  • Enters payroll data into the system for processing on a timely basis.

  • Ensures payroll data processes correctly.

  • Ensures payroll data processes timely and all associates receive a check on each designated payday whether direct deposit electronic or live check.

  • Generates offcycle payroll checks when required.

  • Conducts and/or supports the requisite payroll system audits as instructed and according to established procedures.

  • Prepares all payroll related reports as instructed and/or according to established procedures.

  • Prepares and distributes daily labor reports.

  • Prepares monthly PTO accruals.

  • Ensures compliance with any union contracts relative to payroll.

  • Maintains and updates all payroll related data including job types job codes pay scales classifications etc.

  • Ensure ongoing quarterly and yearend reporting is balanced and filed in accordance with legislation and deadlines are met.

  • Perform semiannual reviews.

  • Double check and approve all payroll third party payments payroll journals and payroll funding documents.

  • Prepare and distribute the various reports to outlet managers Front Desk and Accounting..

  • Complies with all Work Rules Safety Standards and Standards of Conduct as set forth in the Employee Handbook.

  • Works harmoniously and professionally with coworkers and supervisors.

  • May be assigned other duties at the discretion of management.

  • The starting rate for this position is $85000 per year. This is the pay rate for this position that Stanly Ranch reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors such as experience and education.


Qualifications :

Required

  • 35 years of experience in payroll processing

  • Computer literacy 

  • Highly collaborative nature

  • Trustworthy with strong business integrity and ability to hold sensitive information in confidence

  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis and reporting  

  • High school diploma or equivalent required BA preferred

 

Desirable

  • Prior experience with Ceridian Dayforce

  • Multilingual skills (specifically Spanish)
