Job Description
The candidate should have a strong technical background with experience in Payment Gateway / Card Payments / Financial Services space. The candidate should be a thought leader have exceptional organizational skills written and verbal communication skills and be an analytical and structured thinker. This individual must be able to think broadly about Visas business / Value Added Services business unit and drive the expansion of Visas Acceptance Solutions platform & offerings
The successful candidate will be the catalyst for innovation and operational excellence empowering teams to deliver impactful futureready product solutions that drive the organizations success. Acting as a strategic enabler to the organization you will deliver scalable innovative and cohesive solutions that address complex business needs. You will be an integral member of the core team responsible for engaging with potential clients (through the RFP process) to understand their needs and create comprehensive & compelling proposals that can win business for the company. Your role will align with multiquarter objectives and empower teams to achieve optimal delivery efficiency and impact
The candidate should possess a strong Technical background with demonstrated expertise in contributing to medium to large crossfunctional projects. We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated excellence in the payments internet or related industries. The successful candidate must be a handson person with proven ability to engage in high bandwidth conversations with both business and technology executives
To be successful in this position this individual must be highly effective working both independently and in crossfunctional capacities to provide a supporting role in identifying defining analyzing prioritizing and refining technology requirements across all categories. Successful candidates will be skilled at forging strong partnerships with business sponsors product owners architects and developers to support the development process. This function will address bottlenecks provide escalation management anticipate and make tradeoffs balance the business needs versus technical constraints to maximize business benefit
Beyond the design and planning stages of the development lifecycle strong Agile expertise is required to collaborate with Scrum teams during implementation phase
This role will also partner with the crossfunctional leadership team to help define the roadmap priorities and ensure that it remains aligned with the broader strategy and priorities. This individual will foster innovation collaboration leverage new technologies and champion impactful change to build Visas technology brand through internal and external initiatives
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications
5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD OR 8 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD OR 8 years of relevant work experience.
710 years of industry experience within a technology environment with a track record of successfully delivering complex software systems or services
Technical experience in Java technologies API (SOAP & REST) & Web Development
It will be an added advantage if the candidate has experience working in Payment Gateway / Card Payments / Financial Services space (in one or more of the following areas Merchant & Partner portals Billing & Reporting)
Demonstrated experience in managing and responding to RFPs especially with understanding client Requirements and coming up with right Technical Solution
Proven experience in delivering impactful scalable and cohesive product solutions that are futureready and address complex business needs
Ability to align solutions with multiquarter objectives
Experience in reviewing technical specifications user requirements and Solution design documents to verify accuracy and alignment with project goals
Experience in understanding of the technical aspects related to the project to identify dependencies and risks effectively
Experience in creating maintaining and organizing all documents related to a projects solution
Proficiency in using GenAI tools & platforms
Proven track record in fostering and implementing new ideas approaches and technologies (using GenAI or outside of it) that led to significant improvements in business processes and outcomes
Ability to manage solutioning of multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Demonstrated capability to empower teams for optimal delivery efficiency and impact
Strong problemsolving and analytical abilities to think critically and solve complex problems
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Proficiency working in an agile environment
Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills with the ability to work in a global environment and drive consensus in crossfunctional teams
Outstanding verbal and written communications ability to a diverse customer audience executives product and technology stakeholders
