Role/Department

The First line of Defense 1LOD) Governance Specialist will support the Risk and Resiliency organization and is responsible for the organization of the Governance framework facilitation of forums data collection and document retention across critical risk programs within the 1LOD. This role will partner with the Senior Leaders of the group to ensure a wellgoverned group.

The key role and responsibilities of the role include

  • Play an integral part of the design and implementation of governance structures to support the new Enterprise 1LOD Risk and Resiliency office to drive efficient information flows and support decisionmaking across the business units and legal entities.

  • Manage / coordinate continuous improvements of policies/procedures/standards etc.

  • Supports the review and oversight of compliance with the relevant policies/procedures

  • Ensure risks and issues are documented tracked and reported in a timely manner

  • Lead projects with manageable risks and resource requirements

  • Acts as a support for colleagues with less experience

  • Monitor and analyze impact of new Processes and Organizational change

Skills/Experience

The successful candidate will benefit from having;

  • Several years of related experience in Business Resilience/ Operational Risk Management and/or governance

  • Experience of working in rapidly changing and ambiguous work environment

  • Strong knowledge of Business Resiliency and Operational Risk Management including disaster/business recovery business continuity management 3rd party vendor/outsourcing corporate risk policies and standards preferred

  • Strong knowledge / experience in a governancerelated role

  • Ability to influence and collaborate with all levels of the organization

  • Highly organized and prioritizes work proactively.

  • Strong understanding of risk management practices including Incident Management Assurance Programs etc. and how they apply in Financial Servicesorganizations

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

  • Ability to drive to

  • Applies knowledge of key business drivers and the factors that maximize department performance

  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of Risk and Resiliency Critical Programs (Operational Resiliency Lifecycle RCSA Fraud Recovery and Resolution etc. and impacts to business

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate crossfunctions to achieve measurable results
