ChristianaCareFamily Medicine at Foulk / Wilmingtonis looking for a PartTime Medical Assistants.

ChristianaCares Rocco A. Abessinio Family Wilmington Health Center is home to three primary care practices among other programs andservices.

The ChristianaCare Family Medicine Center at Wilmington Health Center is one of two locations for our academic family medicine practice in Willington. The other location is Family Medicine at Foulk Road. These locations include physicians who are teachers faculty members making it possible for resident doctors to be part of your care team. Faculty participate in research and continually advance their knowledge as they mentor leadingedge and compassionatecare.

Primary Care services are supported and enhanced by the onsite pharmacy diagnostic testing social services and patient wellness and educationalprograms.

You would be joining a fantastic care team that includes attending physicians physician residents nurse practitioners registered nurses medical assistant and office assistants.Family Medicine at Wilmington / Foulk sees an average of 250 patients per day.

Work Schedule:

• Tuesdays from 3pm to 8:30pm
• Wednesday from 3pm to 8:30pm
• Thursdays from 3pm to 8:30pm
• Saturdays from 8am to 12pm
• 20 hours per week

Duties / Responsibilities:

As a medical assistant you will beinvolved with greeting and supporting patients both virtually and onsite within the practice preparing them for virtual visits performing point of care testing injections medication administration and EKGs assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment completing patientspecific paperwork ensuring EMR is uptodate handling patient call backs sterilizing medical equipment handling prior authorizations referrals and medical refills scheduling tests procedures and surgeries performing quality control on POCT equipment providing documentation assistance performing clerical duties troubleshooting patient issues with video visits and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCares Patient Portal.

Education Requirements:

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
