Deliver high quality recreation services for residents visitors and the St. Charles community by adhering to the Districts safety and administrative policies and procedures.
This position is well suited for someone with a friendly and positive personality who is productive and shows initiative is an effective written and oral communicator is reliable and safetyminded.
Required: A High School Diploma or in process. Minimum 15 years of age. Demonstrate professionalism flexibility strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people with disabilities. Ability to establish a positive rapport by using tact and discretion with participants parents and staff. Display a high degree of emotional maturity while keeping difficult situations in proper perspective. Must be detail oriented with the ability to process information accurately and use independent judgment when needed. Must have or complete CPR/AED/First Aid Certification and Mandated Reporter certification prior to starting work and within 30 days of hire date.
Preferred: Previous experience working with children is preferred.

Under the direction and supervision of Superintendent of Recreation Assistant Superintendent of Recreation Aquatics RVMG and Haines Manager Aquatics and Youth Programs Supervisor and the Sensory Cove Swim Lesson Coordinator the Sensory Cove Swim Instructor shall complete assigned duties to the best of their abilities offering suggestions of better ways to accomplish jobs and be ever mindful of the best interests of the St. Charles Park District and of fellow employees.
