Job Description
Job Summary:
The University is undergoing rapid growth toward its strategic goal of becoming a comprehensive midsize residential undergraduategraduate researchintensive health professions and science University of excellence.
Our ongoing expansion includes a new 60000 sq. ft. building in the works for our new fouryear medical degree program and the development of a new adjoining 13acre campus expansion for residence halls and other facilities. CDUs Los Angeles location offers access to bigcity amenities entertainment and cultural events.CDUis also closely connected to our community through partnerships with local and regional entities such as government organizations nonprofits healthcare companies and area hospitals including the stateofart medical campus across the street.
Our dynamic and diverse institution is growing at a blistering pace and is recruiting for a range of roles across the University.
The College of Medicine is accepting applications for its Winter Spring Summer and Fall Semesters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advances the education research and clinical missions of the university in collaboration with the Department Chair staff and administrative leadership.
- Facilitates and supports the training of students. Champions improvements in education of students residents or fellows in their assigned department.
- Serves as a role model leads by example and teaches students residents or fellows. Acts as mentor to students fosters the success of students encourages academic excellence engagement personal growth and development of students. Assists students to optimize an educational experience. Assists the students socialization into a disciplinary culture. Provides support to students in managing the rigors of school.
- Contributes to curriculum development teaching and research activities in various and specific disciplines.
- Contributes defined hours for teaching load and student engagement within the department.
- Maintains office hours for students.
- When asked works with the Department Chair or hospital administration to recruit hire and retain outstanding diverse faculty residents and fellows.
- Communicates effectively with Department Chair faculty and staff.
- Applies knowledge of standard concepts practices and procedures. Maintains uptodate knowledge of current policies procedures and regulations.
- Demonstrates and promotes interest in continuous professional development as demonstrated in research publications and/or attending and providing training sessions.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Ph.D. MD or DO from a regionally accredited institution.
EXPERIENCE:
- Academic credentials appropriate for appointment to the COM faculty at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor or Professor.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILLS:
- Demonstrated proficient skill in effectively using a computer and applications such as Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to social justice and valuesdriven curricula.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with administration staff peers and fulltime and communitybased faculty.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the unique mission of CDU.
- Working knowledge of general CDU University and assigned department policy and procedures.
COMPLEXITY:
- The ability to perform highly detailed work with sustained attention and care while providing/obtaining information on numerous inquiries is paramount to success in this position.

Compensation:
- For fulltime positions range of $165000 $265000 based on experience degree rank and role.
- For parttime positions within the 4 year MD Program annual compensation is based on percentage of effort which may vary based on schedule and participation.
