Access Control Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Access Control Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on the installation programming and troubleshooting of access control systems security integration solutions and structured cabling. This position offers longterm growth potential for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Install program and troubleshoot access control systems including card readers mag locks electric strikes door contacts and requesttoexit sensors.
- Mount wire and configure security devices such as CCTV cameras alarm panels and intrusion detection hardware.
- Pull terminate and secure structured cabling (Cat5e Cat6 RS485 and lowvoltage wiring) for security devices.
- Integrate access control systems with CCTV alarm monitoring platforms and networked security solutions.
- Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical documentation to execute precise installations.
- Perform system testing diagnostics and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality and compliance with security standards.
- Work independently or in a team to complete installations on time while maintaining highquality standards.
- Maintain a safe organized and professional job site ensuring all materials and tools are properly managed.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience installing and servicing access control systems security devices and structured cabling.
- Strong proficiency in terminating and labeling Cat5e/Cat6 RS485 and lowvoltage wiring.
- Experience with commercial security integration projects including multidoor access control setups.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment (lifting up to 50 lbs climbing ladders working on lifts).
- Availability for 40 hours per week with potential for overtime.
