EdTech company Crimson Education was founded in 2013 from the idea that through personalised education we can transform students into the world leaders of tomorrow. Since then we have rapidly grown a missiondriven team that is dedicated to building the education system for the 22nd century. Our network includes 2400 tutors and consultants worldwide who work with over 20000 students.
Crimson Global Academy is NZs first online high school and we need your help to take our expansion global! Our team is looking to bring on someone to support the growth of upcoming marketing initiatives. This role will be fastpaced with a breadth of daytoday activities and endless development opportunities.
This is a fulltime position based in Christchurch New Zealand.
What are the main responsibilities for this role
- Collaborate with the team to develop and enhance the frontend of our online high school platform.
- Utilise React and TypeScript to create userfriendly responsive web interfaces for students and educators.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices to maintain code quality.
- Show interest in learning and contributing to our backend.
- Diagnose and resolve software defects and issues.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams to understand and meet project requirements.
What skills and experience are required
- 2 years of experience in frontend web development.
- Proficiency in React and TypeScript is preferred.
- Strong understanding of HTML CSS and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Enthusiasm for learning and exploring backend technologies (AWS Terraform Node Postgres) is a plus.
- Excellent problemsolving and debugging skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- A deep passion for education and a commitment to elevating the online learning experience.
