Program: Sierra Enhanced Forensic Respite Beds (Sierra EFRB)

Position: Clinician

Location: New Haven

Salary: $65000$70000/year

Schedule: Full Time 40 hours 1st shift MondayFriday with flexibility to meet the needs of the program.

The Connections Sierra EFRB Program has an opening for a Masters Level Clinician who will provide outpatient competency restoration individual and group clinical services for adult justiceinvolved males with a primary mental health diagnosis.

Program Summary:

During their 36month length of stay in this congregate care setting pretrial adult males with a primary mental health diagnosis are provided with supervisionpsychoeducational and skillbuilding services to support them in reentering the community after a period of incarceration. The goal is to reduce recidivism through establishing positive behavioral change and prosocial community connectivity.

Position Summary:

The Sierra EFRB Clinician will provide outpatient competency restoration assessments individual and group clinical services for adult justiceinvolved males with a primary mental health diagnosis in a communitybased congregate living setting.

This position is based at The Connection: 48 Howe Street in New Haven. The Clinician is part of the Sierra EFRB Program Leadership Team and works collaboratively with funders referring agents medical and clinical providers to establish wraparound services and reduce recidivism among the justice involved population. The team also provides referrals to employment housing and educational services in the community on behalf of clients.

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in a related field and eligibility for licensure (LMSW LCSW LPCA LPC LMFTA LMFT)
  • 1year related experience
  • Valid Connecticut Drivers License

Orientation:

If selected for employment with The Connection newly hired employees will be required to attend a mandatory New Hire Orientation that will be scheduled upon hire.
