Faculty members at CWI inspire student success through engaging instruction inclusive teaching practices and active participation in the college community. Responsibilities include teaching assigned courses advising students serving on committees and contributing to institutional and community initiatives. Fulltime faculty may teach at any campus and are expected to continuously refine their expertise instructional methods and assessment strategies.
Instructors prioritize student achievement by mastering their discipline enhancing course delivery and supporting persistence throughout the student lifecycle. They actively engage with college resources systems and curricula while pursuing professional development to maximize their impact on student success.
Instruction
Deliver inclusive studentcentered instruction tailored to CWIs diverse community.
Continuously enhance curriculum content delivery and student engagement.
Maintain a strong record of teaching excellence.
Contribute to course development and revision efforts.
Institutional Engagement
Build professional connections to navigate college resources and systems effectively.
Participate in service activities that promote student and faculty success.
Stay informed and involved in department and program initiatives.
Support departmental planning and assessment efforts.
Professional Development
Collaborate with supervisors to align expertise and interests with student success.
A Bachelors degree in a horticulturerelated field or a minimum of three years of professional experience in horticulture landscaping greenhouse management nursery operations or a related field.
Must hold an Idaho Occupational Specialist Certification or obtain it within three years of employment.
Strong communication teamwork and adaptability in various teaching methodologies.
Proficiency in instructional technology and standard software applications.
Commitment to student advising professional growth and community college education.
Experience with online course delivery and institutional service preferred.
Postsecondary teaching experience in the field is preferred.
