Derivatives Trade Support Manager Private Credit Alternative Investments

Point72s Operations team supports all operational aspects of trade processing reconciliation financing and reporting firmwide for all products including equities derivatives bonds foreign exchange and futures and digital assets across global markets.

Within Operations the Derivatives Trade Support team is responsible for the daily confirmation and settlement of fixed income rates credit futures FX and other OTC derivative products. The team is actively engaged with Point72s Front Office Back Office Compliance and Technology teams to manage operational risks. The team also works very closely with all of Point72s trading and clearing counterparties.

What youll do

• Manage a trade support function responsible for supporting the firms Private Credit and Alternative Investments strategies. Product coverage includes broadly syndicated loans (BSL) direct lending syndicated loans significant risk transfers (SRTs) CLOs and other alternative investments.
• Manage and review a SOC1 controlled process including position reconciliations daily trade confirmation and exception management. Work with the firms custodians prime brokers borrowers agency servicer and trading counterparties to resolve and minimize discrepancies
• Supervise trade and position reconciliations security setup lifecycle events and loan servicing activities including funding memos payment tracking paydowns tracking payments made in syndicated deals to coborrowers etc.
• Oversee the wire process for funding deals ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Manage and participate in crossfunctional projects to support our growing Private Credit and Alternatives Business
• Assist in responding to ad hoc queries from internal and external clients
• Participate in the new PM onboarding process
• As the business grows and evolves you may be asked to build and lead a small team
• Promote a team environment that focuses on continuous improvement of the teams processes via automation efficiency and control

Whats required

• 6 years of experience in the middle office operations function of a financial institution
• Strong understanding of private credit and alternative investment products including BSL Bilateral Loans Syndicated Loans SRT transactions etc.
• Knowledge of loan settlement platforms such as ClearPar and familiarity with loan agency processes
• Prior leadership experience including managing multiple direct reports
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Strong presentation and project management skills
• A selfstarter who can work independently with little or no direction
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with loan management systems
