To enable our customers to produce even better performing batteries we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things discover new solutions and develop new ideas. Which is where you come in.
Within the RBMs capacity growth roadmap the Engineering Advanced Planning Director is responsible for the management of the master plans of future sites and facilities creating the high level timelines and budgets in coordination with senior management sales and customers (upstream) and with technical and operational teams (downstream). Well in advance defines the program/project criteria and initiates all permits and authorizations required for a timely start of engineering development and of works.
The Advanced Planning Director will focus on the coordination of the team that will be responsible for the following activities in advance of the detailed engineering design and of works:
Master the long term integrated planning of multiple programs within RBM expansion plans evaluating resource needs and simultaneity of activities
Prepare new programs and projects by defining its requirements (Design Criteria) in coordination with top management
Strategic Planning Sales and Supply Chain areas and liaise with customers for a timely availability of capacity
Establish initial high level timelines for new programs/projects; Capex estimations based on recent projects and on country factors
Liaise with government entities and authorities national and local to obtain the early permits and authorizations and to establish the earlier relationships
Search and select the long term partners for programs (engineering EPCm manufacturers)
Liaise with local Umicore site management to capture and integrate knowledge
Guarantee the liaison between Global Engineering teams and with peer areas (Process Technology Procurement R&D Quality Operations HR to obtain the necessary data for the program or project
Managing coach and develop the Advanced Planning team
Report to RBM management on early program/project development and evolution
You are an ideal candidate for us as you:
hold a degree in Engineering Economics or Applied Sciences
have proven experience in program/project management or other managerial position; not less than 10 years of experience in managing relevant programs or engineering areas
posses a thorough understanding of industrial engineering projects
have an organization mindset and stakeholder management capacity
have ability to define complex budgets and time plans
have an entrepreneurial mindset
posses excellent leadership and committed to people and result
have an excellent knowledge of MS Office and program management software (e.g. Planisware MS Project Server etc.
have excellent business and strategic ability with excellent communication skills
have comprehensive English language skills
