Job Title: Controls Technician
Summary: This position is responsible for the preventive maintenance diagnosis and repair of building automation systems
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Interact with the client in a professional and courteous manner while maintaining a clean and neat appearance
Perform job assignments as organized by supervisor and/or service dispatch personnel.
Responsible for BAS system preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repair.
Uses a variety of hand tools laptop interpreting control drawings plans and specifications.
Analyzes diagnoses and repairs direct digital control systems at customers location.
Prepares for onsite repairs by examining building layout anticipating difficulties gathering materials and coordinating onsite work as necessary.
Provides training and followup training at customer site.
Provides sales leads to appropriate personnel.
Documents work by completing paperwork (iphone) for each call including daily time progress and duration; and maintaining files.
Records parts material labor and other cost data per assignment and returns unused resources.
Turn in all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
Represents the company by serving as a direct customer contact.
Keeps current primarily on Delta but also similar products such as Trane JCI and others concerning installation operation maintenance service and repair of direct digital control systems.
Provides technical support to customers on assigned accounts
Qualifications:
Work independently and as a team member.
Proficient with a Digital Multimeter and other testing tools
Ability to work overtime varied shift hours and occasional travel as needed.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. bend climb kneel twist stand and climb stairs and ladders
